Privacy policy
Updated 14 October 2026In short: the site has no accounts, your game progress stays in your browser, the only thing sent to our own server is an anonymous result of the daily round, and the only external services at work are web analytics — Yandex Metrica and, if you allowed it, Google Analytics. Both can be switched off.
Who processes the data
SwanGamedle is a private project, not a company. The site's author is the data controller. Any question about data goes to stubio57@mail.ru.
What the analytics collects
If you allowed analytics, the pages run Yandex Metrica, a service by Yandex LLC. It stores a cookie with an anonymous visitor id and collects: IP address, device type, browser and language, which pages you opened and how long you stayed, where you came from, and actions on the page such as clicks and scrolling.
If you pressed “Accept”, Google Analytics runs as well — a service by Google LLC (USA). It stores the _ga and _ga_* cookies with a random visitor id and collects much the same: device, browser and language, country and city, which pages you opened and how long you stayed, where you came from, scrolling and clicks on outbound links. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Without “Accept” it is never loaded — in Russia included.
Why: to see which modes get played, where players close the page and what feels awkward in the interface. The site never asks for or collects your name, address or anything else that identifies you — there is no sign-up.
What stays in your browser only
Your browser's localStorage holds your game progress and statistics, the “My games” list, the chosen language and your cookie decision. This data stays in the browser — it is not sent to the server, and only you can move it to another device, with the file from your profile.
Mode statistics
When a daily round ends, the site sends one anonymous result to its own server: which mode, which day, and on which guess the game was solved (or that it was not). Those results add up to the All players today column in the final panel — how many players finished today's game and in how many guesses. The message carries no name, no identifier, none of your guesses and none of your personal statistics, and it cannot be tied either to you or to your earlier rounds.
So that a single script cannot inflate the counters, the server counts how many results came from one address in a day. The IP address itself is not stored: all that remains of it is an irreversible hash with a random salt, and the salt is new every day. Only the current day's counters are kept — yesterday's are deleted along with the salt, and the site keeps no statistics archive.
Who the data goes to
Analytics data is processed by Yandex LLC and, if you allowed Google Analytics, by Google LLC — each under its own rules: see the Yandex privacy policy and the Google privacy policy. Google Analytics data is transferred to and stored in the USA. Beyond that the data is neither shared nor sold.
Two more things happen whenever a page opens, analytics or not: fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and game covers from Wikipedia. All they see is the request for the file and your IP address.
Legal basis and retention
Analytics runs on your consent — the choice you made in the banner. Decline it or withdraw it and the counter is never added to the page; the game works just the same. Retention of analytics data is set by Yandex and Google; local data in the browser lives until you delete it. Mode statistics need no consent: they travel without cookies and without identifiers, on the legitimate interest of showing every player the shape of the day, and they are kept for a day.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time with the button below. Local data is deleted in your profile or by clearing the site's data in your browser. On top of that, the Yandex Metrica Blocker keeps Metrica out and Google's official opt-out add-on keeps Google Analytics out; neither affects the game.
If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, GDPR gives you the right to know what data about you exists, to correct or erase it, to get a copy and to complain to your country's supervisory authority. Write to the address above and you will get an answer.
Changes
The date of the last change is at the top of this page. If something important changes — a new service, for example — the banner will ask for consent again.
